Keeping Your PVC Boards in Top Condition
One of the biggest advantages of PVC nano cabinet boards is how little maintenance they need. Because the surface is non-porous and waterproof, dirt and grease do not soak in. Still, a few simple habits will keep your cabinets looking new for many years.
Daily Cleaning
For everyday cleaning, wipe the surface with a soft cloth or sponge dampened with warm water. For greasy areas near the stove or sink, add a few drops of mild dish soap. Rinse the cloth and wipe again, then dry with a clean towel. That is all it takes to keep the finish bright.
What to Avoid
- Do not use steel wool, abrasive scouring pads, or harsh scrubbing brushes — they can leave fine scratches on glossy finishes.
- Avoid strong acids, strong alkalis, and undiluted solvents such as acetone or paint thinner.
- Never let standing water pool around cut edges or hardware for long periods.
- Do not place hot pots directly on the surface; use a trivet as you would with any cabinet material.
Hardware and Edges
Hinges and drawer slides will last longer if you wipe them occasionally and tighten screws when they feel loose. The precision-machined edges of our boards rarely need attention, but if a cut edge is ever exposed, a thin bead of neutral silicone sealant protects it permanently.
Long-Term Care
Although the boards resist UV well for indoor use, prolonged direct sunlight on dark colors may cause slight fading over many years — this is normal for any cabinet material. For outdoor or high-humidity industrial applications, contact our team for the appropriate grade recommendation.
